Kim B.
Practice Manager

Main Street's newest team member, Kim is originally from New York and earned her Bachelor's degree at Dowling College (where she studied secondary education and Liberal Arts). When she's not working, Kim enjoys yoga, painting (she recently picked up a paintbrush for the first time in 25 years and fell in love again!), running, reading, and paddleboarding. Married with two kids, Kim also has three dogs (two Yorkies and an Aussie).


Natalie P.
Operations Manager

Born in Morganton, North Carolina, Natalie joined our team as a Client Service Representative and kennel assistant in May 2018. Natalie earned her Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management with a minor in International Business at UNCC. Natalie has two dogs: a german shepherd named Audi and a border collie mix named Porsche. When she's not at MSVH, you can find Natalie traveling, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. A fun fact about Natalie is that both she AND her boyfriend have a twin!

Cecily Holland Kennel Manager

Kennel Manager / Veterinary Technician

From Statesville, North Carolina, Cecily joined the Main Street team as a kennel manager in October of 2021! After moving between various locations with her husband and high school sweetheart Joseph, due to military life, who is now a combat veteran, they have settled back in her home state of North Carolina. She graduated from North Iredell High School in 2016 and completed her Veterinary Assistant Certification from Animal Behavior College in July of 2020. Cecily is currently earning her veterinary technician degree at Ashworth College. Cecily enjoys watching scary movies, hiking, and walking their two “kids”, Roxy and Sadie, their 3 and 2-year-old German Shepherds. She looks forward to meeting and building relationships with clients and their furry family members!

Brooke Pless Receptionist

Brooke was born and raised in Concord, North Carolina. She grew up having dogs and loves all animals big and small! In 2017, she moved to Cornelius with her husband Ahmed and their new baby, Kamel! She worked as an educator in the childcare field for almost 7 years and decided to trade human babies for fur babies. Brooke joined Main Street Veterinary Hospital in the Spring of 2019. Brooke has a pitty mix named Ellie, a silky terrier named Arnie, and a tabby cat named King Ollie. When she's not working or spending time with her family, you can find Brooke shopping or kayaking.

Kathleen B.
Registered Veterinary Technician

Originally from King George, VA, Kathleen moved to NC in 2014. She attended Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor Degree of Psychology while she swam competitively for the Division 1 team all 4 years.

Kathleen discovered her passion for the veterinary field while working at her hometown veterinary hospital & attended Northern Virginia Community College Veterinary Technician program in 2016, where she participated in the online distance program. Kathleen enjoys coming into work every day and seeing the bond owners have with their animals as well as learning more about animal behaviors and their influence on people. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, hiking, and planning trips!

Heather Melin Receptionist

Heather was born in New York, and shortly after, her family moved to Mooresville, NC where she has lived for the last 28 years. She graduated from Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in 2012 with an Associate of Science Degree in Surgical Technology. She has always loved animals both big and small. Heather adopted her fur baby, Rockie, in 2015. Rockie is a Catahoula Leopard Dog with lots of energy and is loved very much. In her free time, Heather enjoys hiking, swimming at the lake, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. She has supported the Main Street team as a customer service representative since the Summer of 2019 and is looking forward to building connections with the clients and patients.

Mandy Michalak Receptionist

Mandy joined the Main Street team in July 2020 after being a client and enjoying the care and compassion her pets received. Mandy grew up in Connecticut, where she met and married her husband, Brandyn, who was in the Army. After having five children, the Army relocated them to Texas for the next decade. In 2017, Mandy and her family moved to Davidson, North Carolina, to be closer to her mother. Mandy has three dogs (Sweet Caroline, O'Reilly, and Lady Diana) and two kitties named Oprah Winfrey and Peggy. Mandy's family keeps busy on their own, but they enjoy volunteering in the community, hiking, sports, cooking and visiting local breweries. An active church member, Mandy also teaches at Pure Barre in Birkdale part-time. . Mandy looks forward to getting to know all our clients and their furry companions.

Jen is originally from Rhode Island and joined the Main Street Family in May of 2023. Jen is the proud mom to Cassandra Rose and of four cats named Marigold, Brady, Leo and Hans. A fun fact about Jen is she is a musician and loves tattoos. She has an interest in all areas of Veterinary Medicine and when she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, their pets and also enjoying nature, camping and more!

Alyssa Shepherd has worked in veterinary medicine since moving to the Charlotte area in 2003. A lover of cats and dogs, Alyssa’s favorite element of working in animal medicine is forming bonds with clients and understanding their personal relationships with their pets. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and watching football (Detroit Lions and Ohio State) with her husband and high school sweetheart, Jake. Alyssa and Jake welcomed their daughter in March of 2019, who is already also an animal lover and enjoys hanging out with the family’s three-legged pitbull, three and a half legged indoor cat, and one outdoor cat that adopted them, rather than the other way around.

Dena Ianniello

Born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida, Dena grew up with many animals and immediately became an animal lover at a very young age. Dena always knew she wanted a career involving animals and animal care. In 2005 Dena moved to North Carolina and has worked in multiple daycare and boarding facilities. Dena proudly rescued her first dog, a pit mix named Kane. In 2014 Dena earned a degree in veterinary assisting through Ashworth Colleges' online program. Dena enjoys traveling, hiking, attending concerts, working out & trying new, local restaurants. Dena has a pitty mix named Kane and a tripod named Sid. A fun fact about Dena is that she "wants a man, not a boy, especially Drake."

Heather, originally from Glasgow, Scotland, joined the Main Street Team in early 2023. Heather is a Mooresville High School Graduate and is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program! Heather is the proud dog and cat mom to Captain, Bruce Wayne and Poison Ivy!
When she's not working, Heather enjoys reading, playing video games, and puzzles. A fun fact about Heather is she holds dual citizenship in Great Britain and the USA. She has lived in Scotland, England, Canada, California, Texas and now North Carolina.She has an interest in preventative veterinary medicine and zoological medicine.

Haley joined our Vet Tech staff in August 2015. Haley comes to us with many years of veterinary experience. She was born and raised in Mooresville but has fallen in love with the small town of Cornelius where she currently lives with her boyfriend, Adam, and their small zoo. They have a three-legged lab mix named Phoebe, a Lab/Pit/Dane mix named Rosco, and two cats, Marley and Pumpkin. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, boating on Lake Norman, and traveling as much as possible. Her favorite aspect of the veterinary field is building long-lasting relationships with our clients and loves the bond it forms between her and the pets.

Born and raised in Northeast Pennsylvania, Kristen jokes that she was raised on a playground as that's where she spent most of her days! Kristen began her career working on her RVT at San Juan College but... "Squirrel!"... her attention was brought elsewhere! Despite a change in RVT plans, Kristen has remained in the veterinary field since the spring of 2017 and serves as a Veterinary Technician and groomer at MSVH. When Kristen isn't working, she enjoys hiking alone, "pumping iron at the gym", crying over fictional characters, and mastering her cooking skills to beat Bobby Flay.

Linda has always had a passion for animals and earned her Registered Technician degree from Gaston College in 1999. She gets her love of nature from her grandfather. Known as the “cat whisperer,” she does everything possible to ensure our feline patients are comfortable. She is an experienced dental and surgical technician who enjoys helping our furry patients in the exam room. Linda has six cats (ages 3 years to 17) and lives in Iron Station with her husband, whom she met while volunteering at the Carolina Raptor Center 30+ years ago. On their days off they enjoy hiking, photography, gardening, and canoeing. She currently volunteers for Meals on Wheels.

Meagan McDonald Veterinary Technician

Meagan was born and raised in Huntersville, NC. She grew up with a love and passion for animals. When she was a child, she would help her father at the dairy farm where he worked. She began her career at a boarding facility, where she worked for four and a half years before joining Main Street in 2019. Meagan recently graduated from Gaston College Veterinary Technology Program with honors and has an Associate Degree in Applied Science for Veterinary Technology. Meagan is married to Jayson and together they have three dogs... two Boston terriers named Ivy and Daisy, and a rescue American Bully mix named Rosie. In addition to the pups, Meagan also has a mini horse named Plumber. Meagan enjoys taking her dogs for walks, baking, and spending time with her family in her free time.

Born in North Carolina, Kamber joined our team as a veterinary technician in November of 2021. She has a passion for animals of all species and has been in the veterinary field for roughly 6 years. She recently graduated with an Associate in Science from Stanly Community College and is currently working to obtain certification as a veterinary technician. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and family, as well as traveling whenever possible.

Originally from Puerto Rico, Margot earned her Bachelor's in Psychology from VCU and Associate's of Applied Science for CVT at Bel-Rea. Margot enjoys working out, reading, cooking, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her four cats.

A self-proclaimed "military brat", Amanda grew up "all over" and earned her associate's Degree at Northern Virginia Community College in Elementary Education. When she's not working, Amanda appreciates hanging out with family, enjoying the lake, reading, and savoring good food! Amanda is married with three kids (ages 19, 15, and 11) and three cats.

Kathleen (Sully) was born in Minnesota and attended Veterinary Technician school at a two-year college. When she's not working, Sully enjoys repurposing used items, cooking, and spending time outdoors. Sully is married with three children, and one grandbaby, and has three pets.

Courtney was born in NC, but grew up in Texas before moving back to this area. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science and enjoys hiking, reading, and cooking. Courtney and her husband have three rescue cats and one rescue dog, and are just about to also add a Catahaula puppy to their family, too. Courtney loves focusing on animal behavior, nutrition and the Fear-Free approach to veterinary care.

Dena reigns from Long Island, NY and enjoys spending time with her family and pets. A mom to a three-year old, Dena also has Harley & Shilor, American Bull Dogs, three cats, a pet turtle and a squirrel who returns every year! Dena loves all animals and says “caring for them brings her joy”!
