Addie has been in the Veterinary industry since 2004. While in high school, she did an apprenticeship at a veterinary practice in her hometown, Salisbury, North Carolina. She quickly found passion in this ever-growing field. She has worked in emergency, surgery, and general practice. Prior to joining our team, Addie worked as a manager for a large veterinary hospital in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA for eight years and then spent a short time in Pensacola, FL managing a veterinary urgent care. The thing Addie most enjoys about her job is making our clients happy and seeing the staff learn and grow so that they can serve our community best. When she is not at work, she enjoys traveling, shopping, boating, and spending time with her family.
Originally from King George, VA, Kathleen moved down to the North Carolina in 2014 with her long-time boyfriend. She has since gotten married to her husband Joseph, and they both own a sweet Shar-pei/Boxer mix named Riley. She attended Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor Degree of Psychology in 2013 while she swam competitively for the Division 1 team all 4 years. She discovered her passion for the veterinary field while working at her hometown veterinary hospital in the summer and went on to graduate from the Northern Virginia Community College Veterinary Technician program in 2016, where she participated in the online distance program. She enjoys coming into work every day and seeing the bond owners have with their animals as well as learning more about animal behaviors and their influence on people. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, hiking, and planning trips.
Born in North Carolina, Natalie joined our team as a Client Service Representative and kennel assistant in May 2018. She graduated from UNC Charlotte with her Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management and a minor in International Business. Prior to joining Main Street, she worked as an office assistant and dog handler and a dog daycare in Charlotte. Natalie has always had a passion for animals, no matter how big or small! She has 2 dogs, a rescue Border Collie mix named Porsche and a German Shepherd named Audi. In her free time she likes to go to the lake, read, spend time with friends and family, and loves to travel any chance she gets!
Kristan Honeycutt has been in the veterinary field for going on 6 years. Though she was born in Marietta, GA she moved to NC at a very young age so she would consider herself a North Carolinian at heart. Ever since she was a little girl she’s always had a love for animals. The reason she sought out a career in veterinary medicine is because she has a passion for being a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. When she’s not at work she’s home cuddling her dog, Bueller, or off exploring new cities with her husband, Brandon. She looks forward to seeing you and your pets around the clinic soon!
Addie was born and raised in Huntersville, NC. She grew up on a farm with all kinds of animals, which is where her passion and love for animals came from. Before joining the team at Main Street, she worked at a boarding facility for 5 years, caring for the animals and working at the front desk. She is currently in school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She lives with her husband, (Cameron), son (Aiden), and two fur babies, a German Shepherd mix named Bubba and a Beagle mix named Lincoln. In her free time, she likes to spend time with family, hike/walk, and cook.
Born in North Carolina, Cecily joined the Main Street team as a kennel manager in October of 2021! After moving between various locations with her husband and high school sweetheart Joseph, due to military life, who is now a combat veteran, they have found themselves settled back in her home state of North Carolina. She graduated from North Iredell High School in 2016 and completed her Veterinary Assistant Certification from Animal Behavior College in July of 2020. She plans to return to school in the near future and complete her Veterinary Technician Degree! Cecily enjoys watching scary movies, hiking and walking their two “kids”, Roxy and Sadie, their 3 and 2 year old German Shepherds. She looks forward to meeting and building relationships with clients and their furry family members!
Brianna Cataldo is a native of New York but has decided to call the Lake Norman area home. She has been with Main Street Veterinary Hospital since mid-2017. Her professional experience includes her years as a kennel attendant and team leader when she worked for Pet Paradise and The Meadows Bed n' Biscuit. She is proud to be a part of the kennel team at Main Street and enjoys building trust with the pets who come to stay and relationships with their owners, too! She plans to go to school to become a Laboratory Technician. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking, and singing. She has two guinea pigs named Bentley and Wilson.
Brooke was born and raised in Concord, North Carolina. She grew up having dogs and loves all animals big and small! In 2017, she moved to Cornelius with her husband. She worked as an educator in the childcare field for almost 7 years and decided to trade the human babies for fur babies. Brooke joined Main Street Veterinary Hospital in the Spring of 2019. She has three fur-kids that she absolutely adores: Ellie, a Pitbull/Labrador mix dog, Arnie, a Silky Terrier/Maltese mix dog, and Ollie, a Tabby cat. In Brooke's time away from work, she loves to be outside soaking up the sunshine on her kayak on Lake Norman. Brooke aspires to go further in veterinary medicine and is looking forward to building relationships with the clients and their fur babies.
Heather was born in New York, and shortly after, her family moved to Mooresville, NC where she has lived for the last 28 years. She graduated from Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in 2012 with an Associate of Science Degree in Surgical Technology. She has always loved animals both big and small. Heather adopted her fur-baby, Rockie, in 2015. Rockie is a Catahoula Leopard Dog that has lots of energy and is loved very much. In her free time, Heather enjoys hiking, swimming at the lake, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. She has been supporting the Main Street team as a customer service representative since the Summer of 2019 and is looking forward to building connections with the clients and patients.
Before living in Charlotte, Sara was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. Sara graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She moved to the Charlotte area in August 2015. Growing up, the only pets Sara ever had were fish and rabbits. When she moved to the area is when she soon found her love for dogs when she adopted a little Black Lab named Opal who soon stole her heart and became her best friend. For Opal’s birthday in May 2016, she received the present of a sister – an Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix named Luna. When Sara’s not working, she’s spending time with her husband, Tony, going to the movies, exploring new parts of Charlotte, or going on walks with their pups and going to dog parks.
Mandy joined the Main Street team in July 2020 after being a client and enjoying the care and compassion her pets received. She also currently teaches at Pure Barre in Birkdale part-time. Mandy grew up in Connecticut, where she met and married her husband, Brandyn, who was in the Army. After having five children, the Army relocated them to Texas for the next decade. In 2017, Mandy and her family moved to Davidson, North Carolina to be closer to her mother. Mandy has three dogs (Sweet Caroline, O'Reilly, and Lady Diana) and one sassy kitty named Oprah Winfrey. Mandy's family keeps busy all on their own but they especially enjoy volunteering in the community, hiking, all sports, cooking, and visiting local breweries. They are also active church members. Mandy looks forward to getting to know all of our clients and their furry companions.
Samantha is a Charlotte native but grew up in the Lake Norman area. She loves all things outdoors, camping, kayaking, hiking, and going on family vacations in the Outer Banks. She attended Central Piedmont Community College and achieved her Associate of Science degree in 2018. In addition to her husband, Cory, who she married in 2019, Samantha shares her home with a Beagle/Dachshund mix named Brody. He gives the best snuggles and is oh-so-sweet! Samantha has always had a love for animals but grew up not having any of her own. When she rescued her sweet pup, she finally understood the unbreakable bond between an owner and a pet. Samantha joined the Main Street family in December 2020 and she truly enjoys seeing the bond with our clients and their fur babies.
Ashley is one of the very few people who grew up local to Charlotte. Ashley’s love for animals started at a young age. Her mother worked at an animal hospital and as a young girl, she would beg her mother to take her to work so she could pet the animals.
Ashley attended Gaston College in the Veterinary Technician program. Ashley and her fiance, Mark have six dogs together which are all rescues. (Rex, Milo, Maybelle, Layla, and Hope). At times they have been called the “Brady Bunch.” She also has a rabbit named Zoey along with three leopard geckos. Ashley loves seeing the bond between owners and their beloved pets as well as getting to know them and building relationships. When the free time comes along she enjoys spending it with friends and family outdoors, attempting some sort of DIY project, and spending time with all of the dogs and Mark doing nothing.
Alyssa Shepherd has been working in veterinary medicine since moving to the Charlotte area in 2003. A lover of both cats and dogs, Alyssa’s favorite element of working in animal medicine is forming bonds with clients and understanding the personal relationship they have with their pets. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and watching football (Detroit Lions and Ohio State) with her husband and high school sweetheart, Jake. Alyssa and Jake welcomed their daughter in March of 2019, who is already also an animal lover and enjoys hanging out with the family’s three-legged pitbull, three and a half legged indoor cat, and one outdoor cat that adopted them, rather than the other way around.
Born and raised in Boca Raton Florida, Dena grew up with many animals and immediately became an animal lover at a very young age. Dena always knew she wanted a career involving animals and animal care. In 2005 Dena moved to North Carolina and has worked in multiple daycare and boarding facilities. Dena proudly rescued her first dog, a pit mix named Kane. In 2016 Dena earned a degree in veterinary assisting through Ashworth Colleges online program. She is currently working on earning her veterinary technician degree. While Dena is not working she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going on hikes/walks with Kane, and traveling.
Haley joined our Vet Tech staff in August 2015. Haley comes to us with many years of veterinary experience. She was born and raised in Mooresville but has fallen in love with the small town of Cornelius where she currently lives with her boyfriend, Adam, and their small zoo. They have a three-legged lab mix named Phoebe, a Lab/Pit/Dane mix named Rosco and two cats, Marley and Pumpkin. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, boating on Lake Norman and traveling as much as she can. Her favorite aspect of the veterinary field is building long-lasting relationships with our clients and loves the bond it forms between her and the pets.
Kristen began her work in the veterinary field in the Spring of 2017. While she groomed for many years, that passion eventually translated into the desire to help treat pets and further build bonds with them and their owners. She has a Somali mix cat of her own named Felix. When Kristen isn't working, she finds herself reading, kayaking, hiking, hanging out with her family, traveling, and cooking. Kristen is also the genius behind our famous statue, Zeke, and his entertaining wardrobe. She is the third staff member to have taken on this duty (Linda E. Being the original, Cassandra the second, and now Kristen).
Linda has always had a passion for animals and earned her Registered Technician degree from Gaston College in 1999. She gets her love of nature from her grandfather. Known as the “cat whisperer,” she does everything possible to make sure our feline patients are comfortable. She is an experienced dental and surgical technician but also enjoys helping our furry patients in the exam room. Linda lives in Iron Station with her husband, whom she met while volunteering at the Carolina Raptor Center. They share their home with six cats. On their days off they enjoy hiking, photography, gardening, and canoeing. She currently volunteers for Meals on Wheels.
Meagan was born and raised in Huntersville, NC. She grew up with a love and passion for animals. When she was a child, she would help her father at the dairy farm where he worked. She began her career at a boarding facility where she worked for 4 and a half years before joining Main Street in 2019. Meagan recently graduated from Gaston College Veterinary Technology Program with honors and has an Associate Degree of Applied Science for Veterinary Technology. She has three dogs, two Boston terriers named Ivy and Daisy, and a rescue American Bully mix named Rosie. In her free time, Meagan enjoys taking her dogs for walks, baking, spending time with her family, and watching Netflix.
Linda and her family are recent transfers to North Carolina. Tired of the traffic in Washington DC, they settled on the quaint, quiet town of Denver, NC. Sean, her college sweetheart and husband of 23 years, and their three children joined them in this new adventure. Linda graduated from Frostburg State University in 1993 with a bachelor’s in Wildlife/Fisheries Management. Three children and 15 years later in 2012, she fulfilled her dream and graduated with honors from the veterinary technician school at Northern Virginia Community College. When not at work, Linda enjoys kayaking and hiking with her dogs Tanner and Gunner, or chilling on the couch watching HGTV with her daughter Megan.
Luciana relocated to North Carolina in 2020 with her cat, Goblin, and three dogs, Callie, Yuffie, and Beardsly. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2016 and really enjoys assisting in surgery. She admires the quality of care that is provided to our patients at Main Street. In her free time, Luciana enjoys cooking, playing video games, spending time with her boyfriend, and hiking with their dogs.
Rebekah joined our Veterinary Technician team in June 2020. Rebekah has spent most of her career working in emergency medicine and is excited to get to know our clients and patients here at Main Street. She really enjoys wound care and running anesthesia. She hosts Puppy Kindergarten here at Main Street, where she gets to interact and train adorable puppies! When not at work, Rebekah's interests/hobbies are camping, farm animals, bonfires, and hanging out with friends and family. She is also into custom vehicles and is currently rebuilding a 1957 ford f100 truck. She has 2 dogs and 1 cat, Maggie the Bassett, Tyson the Boxer, Garbanzo the Cost Rica kitten. She also has chickens that she loves to spend time with.
Faith joined the Main Street Team in April of 2021 from Redmond, Washington (right outside of Seattle) because of her interest in becoming a Veterinarian. She is a current student at Davidson College majoring in biology with a minor in public health. Her future goal is to attend Vet school after graduating with her bachelor's degree. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, running, hiking, and staying active. She is also the proud owner of a kitty named Cleo!
