Dr. Amanda Goodwin <span>DVM, CVA</span>
Dr. Amanda Goodwin DVM, CVA


Once a gymnast, collegiate pole vaulter and soccer player, Dr. Goodwin’s love of animals eventually conquered that of athletics when she took an apprenticeship assisting Dr. Bonar at the Cleveland Zoo while an undergraduate student at Case Western Reserve University. After double majoring in biology and chemistry, Dr. Goodwin was admitted to The Ohio State University where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Lori Hoe has been practicing small animal veterinary medicine in the Lake Norman area since 2007. She is passionate about pets and the people that love them. Dr. Hoe graduated with highest distinction and honors from Penn State University and Summa Cum Laude from Auburn University of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Manzie grew up on Amelia Island in northeast Florida, where she aspired to be a vet since she was a young girl. She attended the University of Florida where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science in 2009 and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2014.

Dr. Wasserman grew up near Cincinnati, Ohio, and attended Xavier University for his undergraduate education. After a brief stint as an accounting major, he ultimately decided to change course and pursue natural sciences, graduating from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013.

Dr. Atkins is originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, but moved to the Carolinas while in college and has no plans to leave! She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from College of Charleston and went on to earn her veterinary degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Steven Grant Waldrop, fondly known as "Dr. Grant," has called the Charlotte, NC area home for nearly three years since graduating from Virginia Tech. Passionate about exploration, he enjoys traveling, spending quality time with friends and family, and immersing himself in the great outdoors.

Dr. Whitlock is originally from Pennsylvania, but has lived in the South for 25 years. She received both her Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science and Master’s degree in Earth and Environmental Resources Management at the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Melissa Moskowitz is originally from Connecticut and fell in love with veterinary medicine when she took an animal science class through her high school’s agricultural program. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Science at the University of Connecticut. She then graduated from Colorado State University in 2010 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Kaitlyn Johnson grew up in the small town of Gilbert, West Virginia, and went on to attend West Virginia University, where she earned her degree in Exercise Physiology. Initially planning to pursue human medicine, she discovered her passion for veterinary care during her senior year and shifted her path toward becoming a veterinarian. She graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025.
