Originally from Macon, Georgia, Brooke grew up in a military family and moved every three years, living in Georgia, Ohio, Texas, Alaska, Tennessee, California, and now North Carolina. Her upbringing taught her adaptability, resilience, and how to connect with people from all walks of life, qualities that shine through in her patient care.
Brooke has always loved working with her hands. Whether she’s working on her car, surfing, snowboarding, or tackling a new hands-on project, she thrives when she’s building, fixing, or learning something new. In veterinary medicine, she especially enjoys animal behavior and psychology, as well as the fast-paced, problem-solving nature of critical care.
At home, Brooke and her fiancé, Sommer share their lives with a full and lively fur family. She is a proud dog mom to Tillie, her black and tan Coonhound/Rottie mix, and cat mom to Slade (Russian Blue), Blair (Oriental black cat), Biscuit (orange tabby), Buffy (tuxedo Siberian Forest Cat), Valak (black and silver Norwegian Forest Cat), and Albus (tabby).
Brooke’s passion for learning, combined with her deep love for animals and hands-on care, makes her a valued part of the Main Street team.
