Happy May from all of us at Main Street! We’re excited to welcome Dr. Kaitlyn Johnson to the Main Street family, an incredible addition to our already amazing team of veterinarians.As we head deeper into spring, we’re embracing warmer weather, more time outdoors, and plenty of seasonal activity for both pets and their people. With Memorial Day right around the corner, we’re also sharing our holiday hours to help you plan ahead. This month, we’re focusing on preparing for summer boarding, staying aware of common bee stings and bug bites, and highlighting a special team experience that brought us closer to our local community.

Memorial Day Hours: Honoring & Remembering

In observance of Memorial Day, Main Street Veterinary will be closed on Monday, May 25th, and will reopen with normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th. Thank you to all who have served and sacrificed.

As pets spend more time outdoors, encounters with bees, wasps, and other insects become more common. Most bites or stings are mild, but some can become serious quickly.

 


 

🐷 Team Spotlight: A Visit to Naughty Donkey Farm Sanctuary

This month, our team had the special opportunity to spend an afternoon at Naughty Donkey Farm Sanctuary, where we enjoyed socializing with recently born, weaning piglets and learning more about the sanctuary’s incredible mission.

Naughty Donkey Farm Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and providing lifelong care for farm animals in need. Their mission focuses on compassion, education, and creating a safe haven where animals can live out their lives in comfort and dignity. It was a meaningful experience for our team to step outside the hospital and connect with animals in such a joyful, relaxed environment. We’re so grateful for the work they do and the chance to support a local organization making such a positive impact.

For those interested in volunteering, they offer volunteer hours every Saturday from 9am-11am!
